The Sainte-Victoire massif, east of Aix-en-Provence, offers landscapes of striking beauty. The incredible light, the red earth, the oaks, the pines and the blue sky were an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Cézanne. Thanks to him, the giant of Aix is exhibited in the world’s greatest museums. José Nicolas has photographed the mythical Montagne Sainte-Victoire and its surroundings many times without ever getting tired of it.
